1) Visioning
2) Work with Passion
1) VISIONING
I came across the following quote in an article by Lucia Capacchione
“What you do within 24 hours of getting an idea spells the difference between success and failure for that idea.” And that could be making a vision board about it for instance!
I want to encourage you to stick to your Dreams……………
The foundations for my new PURPOSE BUILT STUDIO have been prepared and the build begins on Monday 13th September!!!!!
It’s a long story, here’s a few headlines………..
It all began as a quiet inner discontent in 2008 about the practical physical effort involved with furniture moving etc. I didn’t allow myself to dream because I did not believe any solution was possible.
However in January 2009 I made a vision board with a sort of “help” focus phrase – a dedicated workshop space – less physical and practical effort . I couldn’t see HOW because whatever I thought of was impossible! Another Lucia quote springs to mind – My heart and my inner child wanted it but my inner critic said it was stupid!
And then In August 2010 I made another vision board with the focus phrase – My Dream Studio My beliefs had shifted to ‘perhaps this is possible’. I did some research and things began to move.
And here we are in August 2011 and the dream is really beginning to happen. As Lucia says – Your heart’s desire has its own momentum, rhythm and impulse.
I’ll keep you informed re completion and the grand opening!
I share this to encourage you to stick with your dreams, however slow and meandering they seem to be. Remember your major focus needs to be on the WHAT, not the HOW.
Do look again at those collages you have made and nurture your dreams.
2) WORK WITH PASSION
For anyone who has a longing to move on, reinvent their work life………………………………..
The next Work with Passion workshop here is September 24/25.
If you like reading – I thoroughly recommend Screw Work Let’s Play by John Williams. A good read full of ideas that align with my Work with Passion philosophy and approach.
TEENS
Congratulations to the teenagers who have been anxiously awaiting their exam results this summer.
Discovering MY Way is a young person’s version of WWP designed to focus on choosing which university (or not as the case may be) and even A level choices. You may know some young people who are trying to make these huge decisions during the coming year. This usually begins with one or two individuals who then bring their friends along too.
